Mrs. Amber has more than 15 years experience in the education field. She has a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing and a Master's degree in Special Education, with which she taught in the Ohio public school system for nine years. Mrs. Amber is also a Certified Academic Therapist where she worked mainly with students with dyslexia. As a supervisor, Mrs. Amber was a Reading Instructional Coach for a private school where she oversaw reading instruction and offered support and many different techniques and methods to help children succeed in reading. Mrs. Amber brings a wealth of knowledge to SLC, and she is excited to help get the students prepared for their early educational experiences.

In 2016, Mrs. Amber moved from Ohio to South Carolina with her husband, Charlie, and their four children - Madison, Natalie, Joey and Jackson. She and her family strongly believe that God called them to South Carolina through the opportunity presented by SLC. They have settled in Simpsonville where they hope to spend many years raising their family.

Office Coordinator - Lyndon Matson

Lyndon and his family, wife Sara, daughters Ava and Ellie moved to the Greenville area from Illinois in early 2016 when Sara accepted the Children’s Pastor position at GFN Church. He loves the people and weather the most in South Carolina and doesn’t miss the cold of the north! In his free time Lyndon enjoys spending time exploring Greenville with his family and playing at home with his daughters. He likes trying all of the different restaurants that Greenville has to offer and especially likes Mexican food.

Lyndon studied Business Administration and Psychology as an undergrad and received his Masters in Business Administration, but has always enjoyed working with kids. While in high school and college he worked at Toys “R” Us and at a family fun park where he worked with children daily while they played on the attractions. He worked for nine years for an IT department at a university, but didn’t feel the same excitement as he did when working with kids. He looks forward to getting to know all of the kids and parents at SLC!
